The CT MG NEMGTR Member News
The New England MGT Register has granted the Connecticut MG Club its own NEMGTR chapter. There are currently 26 individual chapters of the NEMGTR across the country. I have been recruited to be the current contact for this chapter. There is no cost to be a member of this chapter, it will basically be a subgroup of existing NEMGTR members. If you are a member of the NEMGTR and a member of the CT MG Club, you are automatically in the chapter! My job as coordinator is simply to be a link between the two organizations. If the NEMGTR has an important announcement to make, I will be sure it gets included in our club meetings, website, and newsletter. Our club will submit a yearly summary of club activities to the NEMGTR at years end. This is not to say that if there is enough interest in having activities specific to T-Type MGs that those activities could be planned as a CT MG Club function, but that I will leave to someone else to take the lead on.
'
If you are not a member of the NEMGTR and would like to join, the information is available at the link on this page. The NEMGTR offers two types of memberships: A Full membership is for T-Types, Y-Types, and selected Variants such as the Arnolt as long as they are powered by the original type engine. Pre-1940, non T-Type cars will be given a VM number to indicate a vintage auto. Our second type of membership is called Associate Membership. Associate membership is open to anyone with a strong interest in MGs, MG owners other than T series or maybe a future T series owner. Associate members have the same privileges as full members. These memberships do require dues.'
